It’s difficult to go through a day any more without seeing a reference to one municipality or another proposing a ban on electronic cigarettes. The discussion often seems to begin with “it looks like a cigarette, ban it!” and end with “we don’t know what it is, ban it!”

A rush to ban electronic cigarettes without going through the facts won’t help make matters any better. It is the high time authorities realized that vaping is here to stay and that it is just a matter of time before tobacco smoking is totally abandoned in favor of electronic cigarettes.
