Vaping Guides has been developed to provide a foundation and a launching pad for all things e-cig.
Don (DonDaBoomVape) and Eric (CyberWolf) are former smokers (for a great many years), who, in early 2009, discovered electronic cigarettes and have never looked back (i.e., we’ve been “analog-free” for almost two years now). Although quitting smoking was certainly a factor, the main reason we vape is because we love it so.
And that’s why we created Vaping Guides: to share our enthusiasm for the electronic cigarette and to guide other vapers (i.e., users of e-cigs) – and potential vapers – in their journey through this enchanting, but sometimes confusing, realm. During our first year of vaping, we were (and remain) very active in e-Cigarette Forum. [For example, Don was voted Forum Contributor of the Year in the Vapy Awards ... Don and Eric placed first and second in ECF's recent electronic cigarette review writing contest ... and we each actively participate in ECF's Ask The Veterans forum.] But our excitement about vaping bubbles over so much, we needed an additional outlet.
With a background in management training and business writing, Don is the more loquacious of our duo. As an IT professional, Eric is the more technical. Also Eric is a 510 atty man and into DIY and modding; Don is more an 801 and KR808D-1 vaper and is strictly a PV and e-liquid user, not a fiddler. Each of us vapes all types of electronic cigarette devices, from super-mini electronic cigarettes to mods. We figure we’ve got many of the electronic cigarette bases covered to answer your questions. [And besides that we're neighbors.

Oh, by the way, electronic cigarettes (and Vaping Guides) are only for adults who already are smokers (or vapers). If that does not describe you (or the person for whom you are investigating electronic cigarette and vaping), we wish you well, but ask you to venture elsewhere.

I somehow stumbled up on your site and I absolutely LOVE it! What a great idea, and I certainly will recommend it to anyone who is thinking about switching from cigs to vapin! I purchased my first kit at a local Flee Market almost 3 months ago (was an 808 model) on spur of the moment and have never looked back. I am a member of ecf and have seen your posts there. It took me a while to get use to ecf, but thinking I got it figured out now
. I now have 501′s, the E Power (14650 and 18650). Since I can’t find parts for the E Power tho, my EGO will be arriving soon! What’s a little money compared to something you truly enjoy anyway….lol! P.S. I have to admit that so far, I like the 808 batteries the best!!!

Many suppliers carry the E-Power and parts for it. MadVapes is one of the sources of 14650 and 18650 batteries and the TR-001 charger. Any 510-threaded atomizer or cartomizer will work with the E-Power (although the special eGo-specific ones may required a 510-to-510 extender). And 808 cartos also will work, using a 510-to-808/901 adapter (e.g., from Good Prophets).
