I never really wanted to quit smoking \u2013 I enjoyed it (nothing like I\u2019ve come to enjoy vaping, however). But I (and especially my wife) was concerned about the health consequences, which takes us to\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"enjoyment of vaping\" src=\"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/enjoyment-of-vaping.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"403\" height=\"279\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> I am not a medical doctor (nor do I play one on TV), so I\u2019m in no position to make any medical claims. I just know that I <strong><em>feel better<\/em><\/strong> about vaping than I did about smoking. Investigate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/ecf-library\/74229-links-printable-articles-validate-e-cigs-safer-than-analogs.html#post1098997http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/ecf-library\/74229-links-printable-articles-validate-e-cigs-safer-than-analogs.html#post1098997\" target=\"_blank\">relevant information<\/a> and decide for yourself.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"smoker's lungs\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Awesome%20Vapor\/smokernon-smokerlungs.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"334\" height=\"184\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> It is <strong><em>cheaper<\/em><\/strong>; it may turn out to be <strong>half<\/strong> the cost of your analog smoking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"cost of smoking\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Awesome%20Vapor\/costofvaping.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"358\" height=\"158\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> Although it is<strong> <\/strong>a habit, it is <strong>not <\/strong>\u201ca <em>filthy <\/em>habit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"not a filthy habit\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Awesome%20Vapor\/filthyhabid.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"412\" height=\"125\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>5.<\/strong> You can vape (<strong>not <\/strong>everywhere, but) in <strong><em>many more places and circumstances<\/em><\/strong> than you can smoke.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"e-cig pub sign\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/WWV%20adds\/electronic-cigarette-pub-sign.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"279\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I stopped smoking <strong>inside my home<\/strong> several years ago, because it was staining the walls and carpets. I\u2019ve now been able to come back inside to vape (a real advantage during inclement weather or when it is stinking hot or freezing cold outside).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"vaping indoors\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Awesome%20Vapor\/vapingindoors.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"446\" height=\"129\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Many people vape <strong>at work<\/strong>, either because their employer and coworkers don\u2019t care or because it\u2019s fairly easy to <em>stealth <\/em>vape (either when no one is looking and\/or by holding in the vapor longer so that nothing visible is exhaled).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/vapeatwork.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1654\" title=\"vapeatwork\" src=\"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/vapeatwork.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"430\" height=\"148\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/vapeatwork.jpg 614w, http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/vapeatwork-300x103.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/vapeatwork_2.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a> <em>Some <\/em><strong>restaurants<\/strong>, <strong>bars <\/strong>and <strong>pubs <\/strong>permit vaping. [When in doubt, ask &#8230; and be prepared to explain what the heck you are talking about. I usually refer to it as my \u201cpersonal vaporizer\u201d rather than an \u201celectronic cigarette.\u201d There is some virulent anti-smoking sentiment out there. The most common sentiment about vaping is&#8230;ignorance; and that can be corrected.]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"vape in bars\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Awesome%20Vapor\/vapeinbars.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"148\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>During a recent plane trip, I was able to vape (not on the <strong>plane<\/strong>, although some vapers have)\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"vape on plane\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Awesome%20Vapor\/vapeonplane.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"379\" height=\"183\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u2026but in the <strong>airports<\/strong>. I did it fairly openly, but discretely. Actually, from a police officer at one of the airports, I had requested and received <em>permission <\/em>(once I assured him that there was no burning tobacco). His only caveat: \u201cUnless people around you complain.\u201d \u2026 and no one did.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"vape in airport\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Awesome%20Vapor\/vapeinairport.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"431\" height=\"172\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>And <\/strong>you can even vape here:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"425\" height=\"350\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/w23O-RO_oY0\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"425\" height=\"350\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/w23O-RO_oY0\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\">For more on this, see The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/e-cigarettes-public\/\" target=\"_blank\">E-Cigarettes in Public<\/a> section of the E-Cigarette-Forum (ECF).<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. <\/strong>It is more <strong><em>flexible<\/em><\/strong>: I can vape just one or two puffs, without wasting the rest of a cigarette \u2026 or for a half-hour straight, without overwhelming my body with nicotine, just by adjusting the strength of the juice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. <\/strong>It has its own <strong><em>subculture<\/em><\/strong>, e.g., ECF and other forums: places to hang out with other similarly free-thinking, often wacky people, who share my enthusiasm and many of my experiences.
