I was assigned the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.evcigarettes.com\/categories\/Starter-Kits\/Lea-Tank-Starter-Kits\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lea<\/a><\/strong> from Innokin (distributed by Boge) and I approached the assignment with  some trepidation, being underwhelmed by a video review I had seen of  it. I shared my concerns with Celestino and he told me to go for it,  come hell or high water.<\/p>\n<p>After about an hour\u2019s use (which I\u2019ll tell you about), I let out a big  sigh of relief: This thing is pretty good; in fact it may be <em>ideal<\/em> for many vapers!<\/p>\n<p>[NOTE: There are many great photos of the Lea on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evcigarettes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Evcigarettes<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.innokin.com\/web\/\" target=\"_blank\">Innokin<\/a> websites, but I\u2019m greedy. I\u2019ve ripped from other sources also,  acknowledging as I use them. I am especially indebted to Jackal3 of  White Stag Vapor, who has posted some wonderful ones here on <acronym title=\"E-Cigarette Forum\">ECF<\/acronym>.]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What Is It?<\/h2>\n<p>The Lea is, in effect, a longer, more slender eGo-T with a smaller tank and some neat additional features.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Lea%20review\/LeaandeGo-T.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<p>In this short video review, Jen (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/e-cigarette-video-reviews\/196172-innokin-lea.html\" target=\"_blank\">mergryphon<\/a> on <acronym title=\"E-Cigarette Forum\">ECF<\/acronym>, GeekGirlVaper on YouTube) provides an effective introduction to this <acronym title=\"Personal Vaporizer\">PV<\/acronym> (which she received from White Stag Vapor):<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"425\" height=\"350\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/4T11FdpNZhk\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"425\" height=\"350\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/4T11FdpNZhk\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Like the eGo-T, the Lea has a 650 mAh, passthrough-capable battery,  with an ON\/OFF setting built into switch button (press three times).<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Lea%20review\/Leabattery-PTandon-off.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<p>It also has a clear, non-leaking, easy-to-fill tank (but with a soft  cap, which I\u2019ll talk about later). The Lea tank is smaller than the  eGo-T\u2019s type A tank (and therefore also type B), holding 15 drops of  juice.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" title=\"Lea e-cig tank\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Lea%20review\/Leatankclose-up-annotated.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Lea e-cig tank\" width=\"376\" height=\"194\" \/><\/div>\n<p>The Lea is 510-compatible, but not eGo-compatible, i.e., all 510 atomizers and cartomizers fit and work just fine on the <em>battery<\/em>, but there is no cone threading for eGo-specific atomizers\/cartomizers. As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/e-cigarette-video-reviews\/190926-pbusardo-review-lea-e-cigarette-innokin.html\" target=\"_blank\">pbusardo reported in his review<\/a>, that atomizer takes awhile to break in \u2026 and I had problems with the pre-inserted tank.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the eGo-T tanks, the cap (easily removable for filling) is soft and rubbery and <em>too<\/em> easily removable \u2026 and therein lies the rub: that cap can get stuck on  the atomizer spike. And I had a devil of a time prying it out. All in all, a very similar vaping experience to the eGo-T.<\/p>\n<p>The switch button is metal rather than plastic and a bit smaller than  the eGo\u2019s, extending further out. It is wobbly, but engages easily and  reliably with an audible click. I thought it would be uncomfortable to  press, but it is not.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Lea%20review\/LeamulticolorLED.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<p>I really like that LED charge indicator. Since I also use other PVs, I  can lose track of how much time I\u2019ve been vaping any one of them. It\u2019s  nice to know when it is approaching time to recharge \u2026 rather than being  caught by surprise with a pooped out battery.<\/p>\n<p>Because I am pretty much a stay-at-home guy, I\u2019ve not made much use of  the pen clip cover, but I can see how it would be very useful to most  vapers, e.g., as demonstrated by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/e-cigarette-video-reviews\/196172-innokin-lea.html\" target=\"_blank\">mergryphon<\/a> in her review.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Lea%20review\/Leapen-clipcover.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Although some vapers might prefer a larger capacity tank, I like it. I  don\u2019t have any one juice that I love enough to vape through 2-4 ml  worth without switching off.<\/p>\n<p>Since <acronym title=\"Throat Hit\">TH<\/acronym> is especially important  to me, I\u2019m using the neat Lea battery primarily with LR cartomizers \u2026  and I\u2019m loving it! For example, with a Smok Tech Dual Coil, it is a  wonderful vaping experience \u2026 and that long slender black <acronym title=\"Personal Vaporizer\">PV<\/acronym> (batt, carto, and drip tip) with stainless steel trim <em>looks<\/em> great too. Shown below is the Lea battery with the smaller Boge carto and without drip tip.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Lea%20review\/LeabattwithBogecarto.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">[photo courtesy of Jackal3 of White Stag Vapor]<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Recommendations<\/h2>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" title=\"components of Lea e-cig lined up\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Lea%20review\/Leacomponentslinedup.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"components of Lea e-cig lined up\" width=\"429\" height=\"267\" \/><\/div>\n<p>I think the Lea would be a <strong>wonderful<\/strong> <acronym title=\"Personal Vaporizer\">PV<\/acronym> for anyone who likes its <strong>looks<\/strong> (as I do) and\/or <strong>unique features<\/strong> (e.g., that pen-clip, ON\/OFF setting, and battery charge LED indicator) \u2026 <em>especially<\/em> if you are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>new<\/strong> vaper who was not a <em>heavy<\/em> smoker (and therefore you don\u2019t      necessarily <em>want<\/em> intense throat hit).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>An <strong>experienced<\/strong> vaper whose priorities are vapor production, convenience, and appearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, <strong>anyone<\/strong> will appreciate that neat <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.evcigarettes.com\/products\/Lea-650-mAh-USB-Passthrough-Battery-by-Innokin.html\" target=\"_blank\">battery<\/a><\/strong>, which works so well with 510 cartomizers and atomizers \u2026 and with <em>other<\/em> cartos and attys using an adapter. [For example, my black EastMall 801 atomizer on my Lea battery is my <em>new<\/em> penstyle!] Seasoned vapers don\u2019t even have to get the charger; the Lea batt will work with any standard USB cable.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i562.photobucket.com\/albums\/ss67\/DonDaBoomVape\/Lea%20review\/Leabattery.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<p>And I see no point in buying a standard 510 <strong>passthrough<\/strong> (other than those special 5V ones).
