In most cases, this is PG. But <em>some <\/em>people are <strong>allergic<\/strong>. You\u2019ll know soon enough and it\u2019s usually nothing serious. Symptoms vary, but can include: dry or sore throat, muscle cramps and aches, diarrhea, night sweats, and rash (usually <strong>not <\/strong>all at once or in the same person, thank goodness). If you experience any of these:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consult with your <strong>doctor <\/strong>(I ain\u2019t no MD), certainly if it is anything other than mild discomfort and\/or it continues for several days. [Sounds like the back label of a bottle of over-the-counter meds, doesn\u2019t it \u2026 but there is a good reason they do that, you know.]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Explore VF&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vapersforum.com\/forumdisplay.php?f=10\" target=\"_blank\">Medical\/Health and Safety<\/a> subforum, especially such threads: as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vapersforum.com\/showthread.php?t=36\" target=\"_blank\">Symptoms of PG Alergies<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vapersforum.com\/showthread.php?t=436\" target=\"_blank\">Health effects of vaping\/quitting smoking<\/a>. The latter is recommended for <strong>all <\/strong>new vapers. There are lots of \u201cinteresting\u201d symptoms (some of them really nice) often associated with stopping smoking and starting vaping, only a few of which are PG-related.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Try <strong>VG<\/strong>-based liquid or <strong>ECOpure <\/strong>(brand name of a UK-manufactured mixture consisting of VG, ethyl maltol, and nicotine \u2026 and no PG, purported to be very pure).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even if you are not allergic to PG, you might prefer VG. Conventional wisdom is that PG packs more flavor and throat hit, but VG generates more vapor. [Many of the mixicologists listed on the previous page combine the two.]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>VG <\/strong>juice was not as prevalent as PG, but there now is <strong>much <\/strong>more of it than there used to be. I&#8217;d venture to say that more suppliers carry VG-based e-liquid than don&#8217;t.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ECOpure <\/strong>suppliers include <a href=\"http:\/\/www.intellicig.com\/ecopure-eliquid-c-27.html?Click=1542\" target=\"_blank\">Intellicig<\/a> (UK), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.intellicig-usa.com\/category-s\/26.htm&amp;Click=1542\" target=\"_blank\">Intellicig-USA<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cignot.com\/category_s\/24.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Cignot<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/smokejuice.co.uk\/userimages\/procart2.htm\" target=\"_blank\">SmokeJuice.co.uk<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Evaluations<\/h4>\n<p>E-liquid is evaluated \u2013 in numerous text and video <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/e-liquid-reviews\/\" target=\"_blank\">reviews<\/a> (and during the past year, there has been a plethora of both) \u2013 using many of the same factors as hardware reviews, e.g., vapor production, flavor, and throat hit \u2026 all three of which are dependent on <strong>both <\/strong>the hardware and software. Such reviews and evaluations of juice, however, are necessarily more subjective. For example, <strong>my <\/strong>evaluation of banana-flavored juice (whether from supplier X or supplier Y) is \u2026 <em>meh <\/em>(a word I picked up from Gen Y members on the forums). However, <strong>you <\/strong>may think it\u2019s the <em>cat\u2019s pajamas<\/em> (an expression from my parents\u2019 generation).<\/p>\n<p>Check out the reviews, but take them with many grains of salt. See if you can identify the reviewers whose \u201ctaste\u201d (both literal and figurative) is simpatico with yours. For example, <strong>I <\/strong>happen to be very comfortable with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/GrimmGreen#p\/u\" target=\"_blank\">GrimmGreen<\/a>\u2019s,\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/igetcha69\" target=\"_blank\">igetcha<\/a>\u2019s, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/allaboutthevapor\" target=\"_blank\">AllAboutTheVapor<\/a>&#8216;s demeanor &#8230; and I think <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/Thehifistud\" target=\"_blank\">hifistud<\/a> is a hoot! <strong>You <\/strong>might prefer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/MoobyGhost#p\/u\" target=\"_blank\">MoobyGhost<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/MrSmokeification1\" target=\"_blank\">Mr. Smoke<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/step07726\" target=\"_blank\">smokie<\/a>, etc., etc. [NOTE: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/bigicedog#p\/u\" target=\"_blank\">bigicedog<\/a>&#8216;s video reviews are so unique they deserve special mention.]<\/p>\n<h4>E-liquid 102<\/h4>\n<p>(i.e., second semester: independent research in the field)<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about the lavish land of \u2018lectronic liquids, explore ECF&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/e-liquid-reviews\/\" target=\"_blank\">E-Liquid Reviews<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/forum-suppliers\/http:\/\/www.e-cigarette-forum.com\/forum\/forum-suppliers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Forum Suppliers<\/a> forums; VF&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vapersforum.com\/forumdisplay.php?f=13\" target=\"_blank\">E-Liquid Reviews<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vapersforum.com\/forumdisplay.php?f=33\" target=\"_blank\">Vendors<\/a> forums; and nu-vapor&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nu-vapor.com\/forum\/platinum-suppliers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Platinum<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nu-vapor.com\/forum\/gold-suppliers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gold Suppliers<\/a> forums.
