{"id":4120,"date":"2013-03-08T23:27:03","date_gmt":"2013-03-09T03:27:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/?p=4120"},"modified":"2013-03-08T23:35:46","modified_gmt":"2013-03-09T03:35:46","slug":"4120","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/2013\/03\/4120\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After awhile just about any electronic cigarette atomizer or cartomizer will start to lose flavor, taste burnt or just plain provide less satisfaction. \u00a0I&#8217;ve been using a Smok Tech rebuildable dripping atomizer (RDA) for a few weeks \u00a0and lately it has not been performing well at all. \u00a0I wasn&#8217;t getting any burnt taste, but there was very little flavor or throat hit and decreased vapor. \u00a0It was time for a new wick and coil and once I pulled it apart the cause was obvious. \u00a0The wire of the coil is now surrounded by a ball of charred residue and the wire is not even visible around the wick.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/coil_comparison_800.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4121\" alt=\"RDA coil before and after\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/coil_comparison_800.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"301\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/coil_comparison_800.jpg 800w, http:\/\/vapingguides.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/coil_comparison_800-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The picture above shows what has been going on with the coil during a month&#8217;s worth of use. \u00a0A lot of the buildup is likely due to a dark thick e-liquid that has gunked up atomizers and cartomizers in the past. \u00a0The exposed coil of the RDA makes it easy to see the condition, but the same thing happens in atomizers and cartomizers as well.
