The launch of the American E-liquid Manufacturers’ Standards Association

The American E-liquid Manufacturers’ Standards Association has launched.  The association’s mission statement states that “We promise to work for preserving and promoting Tobacco Harm Reduction through the process of volunteer self-regulation of e-liquid manufacturing.  We are committed to providing consumers with a greater confidence in our members’ products.”  This type of self-regulation should indeed be a good thing for both the industry and the consumer.  In addition, the AEMSA hopes to work toward government acceptance of reasonable standards for the production of e-liquid, which would eliminate the only really viable argument concerning e-cig use.  We hope to see this association move forward.
